In addition to the First Home Buyers Grant, First Home Buyers in Tasmania may also be eligible for the First Home Buyers Duty Concession. The concession is applicable to Tasmanian first home buyers who enter into a contract to purchase a house, or have purchased vacant land to build a house.
The stamp duty concession applies to established dwellings up to $350,000 or vacant land up to $175,000.
